The Real Talk series seeks to address the inherent need for effective communication measures in personal and professional relationships. The unique appeal of the forum is that it is not only presented through a dynamic true reality, professional panel; but also a male one, with the exception of a lady or two. The Real Talk Series was developed as a vehicle to begin cultivating more effective communication between African American men and the world which surrounds them. The series is spearheaded by LW Special Events CEO, LaTonya Washington, and was first introduced in February of 2010.
