The Inland Empire Minority-Led Resource Development Coalition (IEMLRDC) consists of hundreds of nonprofits, political and governmental agencies, business owners and individuals that have a passion to make change occur in their communities.

Under the direction of Terrence Stone,Chair/Pres. of Young Visionaries, the IEMLRDC is now in its 2nd year and has the purpose to empower non-profits through various tools that result in agency sustainability. In addition, collaborative grants will be written not only for IEMLRDC but also individually by assisting those that need help for their own organization.

Every 2nd Friday of the month, the coalition meets at the Dorthy Ingram Library, 1505 W. Highland St. in San Bernardino from 10:30am -12:00pm. The meeting is conducted by Courtney Pepper, President of the Nonprofit Sector Foundation who leads the meetings to focus on various areas that affect nonprofits. Added to the coalition is Andrea Mitchell, Vice-President of AM Development Group who not only writes grants for the coalition but also has begun GRANT WRITING WORKSHOPS for the coalition.

The IEMLRDC is open to any entity that wants to join. There IS NO MEMBERSHIP FEE! The meetings have an environment that welcomes all to be interactive through discussions and actual hands-on applications and promotes all to bring flyers and information to share.

The next meeting is Friday, April 9th where Andrea Mitchell, one of IE’s TOP GRANT WRITER, will instruct all on how to leap into applying for federal funding opportunities through Federal Proposal Basics (Advanced). The seminar is FREE of charge and is meant to develop the capacity of Coalition members.

ADDED TO THE MONTHLY COALITION MEETINGS are the Minority-Led Mardi Gras Monthly Mixers (MLMGM) located at Mardi Gras Restaurant 201 North E Street in Downtown San Bernardino from 6:00pm–10:00pm.

While the IEMLRDC is structured and more formal in information, the MLMGM is a fun-filled high impact social mixer surrounded by jazz, contests, introductions, prizes, food, n30 rapid round, dominoes, hearts, spades and more. The mixers are FREE and all are welcome!

Mardi Gras Restaurant is the talk of the town for Cajun Food and is donating proceeds from all food purchases from the mixers to the IEMLRDC as a fundraiser. Those funds will assist to pay grant writers, instructors, marketing and administrators.

Added to the monthly mixers will be the start of the first location for the IE Art Walk. Artist are being sought to showcase their pieces for an entire month. Artist that want to be part of the IE Art Walk, please contact KimiRhochelle @ kimiprfirm@gmail.com
