THE NATIONAL SPORTS AUTHORITY..There are a number of organizations that serve the Black community by promoting and/or protecting the interests of the community.   Despite the fact that sports generate $500 billion per year, there is not a single organization in the community that is a recognized authority on the sports business industry…until now.  The National Sports Authority, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization (Authority”), has been established with a single purpose in mind, to level the playing field in sports through advocacy, education and entrepreneurial development.  The Authority will also develop and implement programs and strategies that will result in the better utilization and management of two important resources that exist in the Black community, historically Black Colleges & Universities, and Black athletic talent, inspire and expose our young people to new and exciting career and entrepreneurial opportunities around sport and create procurement/contacting opportunities for Black professionals and organizations.
