Masked Identity is something that has become a common thread in our society. Many would say, it is the era in which we live. When in actuality we've identified ourselves with what we have or accomplishments that we've made. All of which have become a false sense of reality. I ask the question, who are you really? When you look in the mirror who do you see? Is it who people say you are? Is it your money, your mate, your status? Who are you? I dare you to be naked! Nakedness strips you to the bare minimum, the you that only you and God really know about. What motivates you? What hurts you? How do you handle the hurt that you feel? Nakedness forbiddens lights, camera, action. It removes the pretenses that we so easily navigate to. It is devoid of concealment or diguise. It removes what is customary. That which is commonly practiced, used or observed.
We enter into churches as if we have it all together, and when someone comes naked and unashamed of where they are or where they've been, immediately for many, the look of disdain paints their face with the cover up of judgement, refusing to say, I identify. It is time that we refuse to walk in pretense bound with issues and falsehoods, drenched with the perspiration of sweat, flooded with issues behind the mask. Dare to be naked! There is but one judge and Father of us all which has the power both to heal and deliver! Let this be your declaration "This is who I am!" Jesus loves me, and whatever is broke He'll fix! Until then, work on you while I work on me. One thing that's for sure, I am free Indeed! Praise God!
